Yes ladies and gents… here it is, the long anticipated kryptonite to the winter blues in the form of the Cape Town Restaurants Winter Specials List 2010.

And as I’ve said before, no credit to me… well except with the google searching that I undertook to get my hands on this (the original) list of lists – veritable gold dust I say! My sincere thanks go to all at Whale Tales for working so hard to make sure we can eat well this winter.

*   Ci Casa at Camil’s in the Cape Royale Luxury Hotel on Main Road, Green Point: 2-course lunch on Saturdays and Sundays for R 100 + glass of bubbly, April and May

*   The Cru Cafe in the Cape Quarter: breakfast for 2 for R 85, 2 pasta dishes + 2 glasses of wine for R 119, all days of week, lunch and dinner

Overture at Hidden Valley is where we had out company end-of-year function last year and it was outstanding, beautiful surroundings.
